SecCo UK was founded by Nicolas Jon Staley, a former Chief Inspector in the Metropolitan Police with a career centred on counter-terrorism and public protection. During his service, he led critical security projects including the implementation of physical safety measures—such as barriers on major London bridges—and worked closely with high-profile public institutions including the Royal Family. His front-line experience in terrorism risk management provides the foundation for SecCo UK’s training ethos.

In addition to his policing background, Mr Staley has lectured at UK universities, delivering content up to Master’s (Level 7) in security, law, and public sector leadership.
